Child Safety Standards
Festiflirt (published as com.blueeagles.festiflirt) is a dating and social connection platform intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation.

2. Our commitment to child safety
Festiflirt has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual exploitation of minors, or any other activity that puts children at risk.
These standards apply to all Festiflirt users and to all content and communication shared through the platform. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
3. Festiflirt is for adults only
Festiflirt may only be used by people who are 18 years of age or older.
We apply the following measures:
- Users must provide their date of birth during registration and confirm that they meet the minimum age requirement.
- Registration is refused when the date of birth entered indicates the person is under 18.
- This minimum age is additionally enforced at database level, so an account cannot be stored with a date of birth under 18 years.
- Users can report a profile they believe belongs to a minor, using a dedicated reason for suspected underage users.
Transparency about our limits. Age is self-declared. Festiflirt does not currently carry out identity document checks, biometric age estimation or liveness verification. We rely on the declared date of birth, our platform-level age controls and user reports.
Users may not:
- create an account if they are under 18;
- create or operate an account on behalf of a minor;
- misrepresent their age in order to access Festiflirt;
- knowingly facilitate access to Festiflirt for a minor.
If we receive credible information indicating that an account may belong to a person under 18, we may restrict or suspend the account while the matter is reviewed. Accounts confirmed to belong to minors are removed.
4. Prohibited child sexual abuse and exploitation
Festiflirt strictly prohibits any content, communication or conduct involving child sexual abuse or exploitation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, possessing or distributing child sexual abuse material;
- sexualising or sexually exploiting a minor;
- grooming or attempting to groom a minor;
- attempting to establish sexual contact with a minor;
- requesting sexual images, videos or other sexual content involving a minor;
- sharing links or directing users to material that sexually exploits children;
- facilitating or encouraging the sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor;
- trafficking or attempting to traffic minors for sexual purposes;
- threatening, coercing, blackmailing or manipulating a minor for sexual purposes;
- attempting to use Festiflirt to arrange sexual contact between an adult and a minor.
There are no exceptions to this policy.
5. Reporting users, content or behaviour
Festiflirt provides an in-app reporting function. Users can report another user from that user's profile or from within a chat, and can block them at the same time.
The in-app report form offers the following reasons:
- Inappropriate photos
- Harassment
- Suspected underage user
- Spam
- Other — with a free-text description for grooming, suspected CSAE or CSAM, threats and any other safety concern
Child safety concerns can also be reported directly by email to safety@festiflirt.nl with the subject line Child Safety.
Reports concerning the safety of a child are treated as a priority and reviewed as quickly as reasonably possible.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law enforcement first. In the Netherlands and Belgium, call 112.
6. How Festiflirt responds to reports
Reports are reviewed manually by or on behalf of Festiflirt. Reports involving a risk to a child take precedence over all other reports.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- review the reported account, content or conversation;
- restrict or suspend an account;
- permanently terminate an account;
- remove content where technically possible and appropriate;
- preserve relevant information where required for a legitimate investigation or legal obligation;
- prevent an individual from accessing Festiflirt again;
- cooperate with competent authorities where legally required;
- report confirmed or suspected child sexual abuse material to the appropriate competent authority or reporting organisation where required by applicable law.
We may take action without prior warning where we believe this is necessary to protect users, children or the integrity of the platform.
7. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
CSAM is strictly prohibited on Festiflirt. Users may not use the service to create, store, solicit or distribute CSAM.
Transparency about our detection capability. Festiflirt does not currently operate automated CSAM scanning or hash-matching on uploaded images. Detection is report-driven: we act on user reports and on information received from authorities, platforms or third parties. We are actively evaluating automated detection tooling and will update this page when that changes.
If Festiflirt obtains actual knowledge of content that is reasonably believed to constitute CSAM, we take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law and our technical capabilities. This may include:
- restricting access to the relevant account;
- removing or disabling access to the relevant content;
- preserving information necessary for investigation or legal compliance;
- reporting the matter to the appropriate law enforcement authority or designated child protection reporting body.
Where applicable, this may include reporting to the Dutch police, to Offlimits (the Dutch hotline for online child sexual abuse material), or to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or another competent regional authority.
8. Grooming and inappropriate contact with minors
Using Festiflirt to contact, groom, exploit or attempt to exploit a minor is strictly prohibited.
This prohibition applies regardless of whether:
- the interaction started on Festiflirt or elsewhere;
- an in-person meeting takes place;
- explicit images were exchanged;
- the user claims the interaction was consensual.
Adults are responsible for ensuring that the people they interact with through Festiflirt are adults. Suspected grooming or sexual contact involving minors should be reported immediately.
9. User safety tools
Festiflirt provides the following safety functionality:
- Reporting — report a user from their profile or from a chat, with a reason and an optional description.
- Blocking — block a user from their profile or from a chat. A block works in both directions: you no longer see each other in discovery, likes, matches or speed dating, and blocking from a chat also ends the match.
- Unblocking — review and undo your blocks from the settings screen.
- Pausing — hide your profile from discovery without deleting your account.
- Account deletion — delete your account and data directly in the app.
We encourage users to report suspicious, abusive or potentially dangerous behaviour so that appropriate action can be considered.
10. Enforcement
Violations of these Child Safety Standards may result in enforcement action. Depending on the seriousness of the violation, this may include temporary restriction, suspension or permanent removal from Festiflirt.
Conduct involving CSAE, CSAM, grooming or sexual exploitation of minors results in immediate permanent account termination and, where appropriate or legally required, reporting to relevant authorities.
Attempts to circumvent enforcement measures, including creating a new account after termination, are prohibited.
12. Data retention related to safety investigations
Information related to safety reports or enforcement actions may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- investigate a report;
- prevent repeated abuse;
- comply with legal obligations;
- respond to lawful requests from authorities;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Such information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

14. Legal and platform compliance
Festiflirt aims to comply with applicable laws and platform requirements concerning child protection and online safety, including:
- the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy for dating and social applications;
- the Apple App Store Review Guidelines on user-generated content;
- the European Digital Services Act (DSA);
- the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);
- Dutch criminal law and child protection legislation.
We review these standards periodically and update them when our service, applicable law or platform requirements change.
